Dr. Pimental is President and CEO of Neurobehavioral Medicine Consultants, Ltd. She is currently Adjunct Associate Professor at Midwestern University, College of Health Sciences, Department of Behavioral Medicine. She was previously the Director of the Neurobehavioral Medicine Program at GlenOaks Hospital and Director of Psychological and Neuropsychological Services in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. She is senior author of the textbook Neuropsychological Aspects of Right Brain Injury and the book-test instrument combination, "The Mini-Inventory of Right Brain Injury (MIRBI) and the MIRBI-2 (2000)." She is also published in national and international journals.

Dr. Pimental is a Past President of the Illinois Psychological Association and has served on several committees of the American Psychological Association. She is the 1993 recipient of the "Outstanding Paper of the Year" award from the American Journal of Pain Management. She is board certified by the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology (ABN) and a board examiner for the ABN as well as being elected to numerous board offices including President. She is now a Past-President of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology (ABN).

Dr. Pimental holds a second degree black belt from the School of Chung Moo Quan. She is a board certified Diplomate of the National Institute of Sports, Division of Psychologists. She is a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the Illinois Psychological Association and the American College of Professional Neuropsychology. Dr. Pimental has done pro bono work with the American Red Cross and has served as a volunteer member of the disaster mental health services program.
